Your Care Support Team:

Our staff operate to the highest of professional standards to ensure the most effective and respectful care support is provided.

All “Care About You” staff members hold the relevant qualifications for the type of care they are providing to you. 

  • Every individual support plan is managed by a Care Supervisor/Care Manager with the support of a Clinical Nurse Manager who is responsible for the overall management of your Individual Support Plan. 
  • All “Care About You” staff are provided with a comprehensive set of policies, procedures and care training that are aligned with HSE service provision and best practice thus ensuring continuity of care throughout the service you receive. 
  • Refresher training for staff, ongoing supervision of the service and appropriate Clinical Governance is provided to help ensure you receive the best quality of care possible.

Shanelle Waring

Care Manager – Shannon Office

Shanelle is with us as Care Manager since October 2017. A county Clare native. Shanelle is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology with a Masters in “Child, Family & Community Studies” and also a graduate of National University of Ireland Galway with an Honours Degree in “Social Care”.  She has an extensive background working and volunteering in child, youth, disability and elderly care sectors.  

Ian Barrett

Managing Director – “Care About You” – Shannon Office

Ian has extensive senior management experience with Irish SME’s and large multinational organizations. Prior to joining “Care About You” Ian worked for 3 1/2 years with the “TTM Healthcare Group” – the final 18 months as Managing Director of their Advanced Homecare & Residential Disability Services operations.  Ian is passionate about providing individuals with person-centered care based on their individualized care needs utilising informed decision making focused on maximizing each individuals abilities and supporting them within their own homes and/or communities.   

Anja Rees

Care Supervisor – Shannon Office

Anja joined the team in September 2018.  She is one of our Care Supervisors in the Shannon office. She is from north Clare. Anja holds QQI Level 6 qualifications in “Supervisory Management”, “Community & Health Services”, “Train the Trainer” and is a qualified Patient Moving & Handling Instructor. She has an extensive background in working in health care and childcare. Some of her duties includes managing, overseeing and developing individual support plans, staff training, recruitment and staff supervisions.     

Helen Mooney

Care Supervisor – Shannon Office

Helen joined the “Care About You” team in March 2019. She is a Care Supervisor in the Shannon office. She is from east Clare. Helen is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology with a Degree in “Applied Social Studies & Social Care”. She holds QQI Level 6 qualifications in “Supervisory Management”, “Train the Trainer” and is a qualified Patient Moving & Handling Instructor. Some of her duties includes managing, overseeing and developing individual support plans, recruitment, staff training, and staff supervisions.

Nicole Hedderman

Care Co-Ordinator – Shannon Office

Nicole joined the “Care About You” team in December 2019. Nicole was a care support staff member who moved into the Care Co-ordinating role in April 2020. She is from county Limerick. Nicole is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology with a Degree in “Social Care Work”. She holds QQI Level 6 qualifications in “Supervisory Management” and “Social Studies”. Some of Nicole’s duties include scheduling and co-ordination of staff and service user’s care schedules on a daily basis.

Marie Clare Leamy

Care Co-Ordinator – Shannon Office

Marie Clare joined the “Care About You” team in October 2021. She is a Care Co-ordinator in the Shannon office. Marie Clare is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology with a Degree in “Applied Social Studies & Social Care”. Marie Clare has over 12 years’ experience working with adults and children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those marginalised in society. She has recently returned to Ireland having spent the last 10 years working in both Spain and London. Some of Marie Clare’s duties include scheduling and co-ordination of staff and service users care schedules on a daily basis.

Anne Murphy

Clinical Lead for our Care Services supporting our Care Managers

Anne is a registered Nurse and registered Nurse Tutor by profession. She has extensive clinical experience in Community , Hospital, & Teaching settings. Anne brings her clinical expertise and teaching skills to support the CAY team in delivering a high level of care to our clients and their families and is a key member of the company’s Governance Committee. 

Barry Lyons

Project Manager – Shannon Office

Barry is based in the Shannon office and joined our team as Project Manager in April 2021. Barry is a county Clare native. He holds qualifications in “Medical Software Quality Assurance” from University of Limerick, Specialist Diploma in “Medical Device Science” from National University of Ireland Galway and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in “Applied Physics” from University of Limerick. He has an extensive background working in Quality and Biomedical Engineering Projects within the Medical Device Industry.  

Andrius Liobikas

Finance Manager – Shannon Office

Andrius is with us as Finance Manager since April 2018. Andrius is a MIATI graduate with a diploma from Accounting Technicians Ireland. He has a lot of financial experience having worked with a wide range of SME organisations. Andrius manages the management/financial accounts of the business. He also manages the budgeting, cash forecasting and other accountancy functions for the business. Andrius is continuing to further his education by pursuing the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants professional qualification.

Sandra Botha

Care Manager – Athlone Office

Sandra has 10 years’ experience in the roll out and development of community disability services and elderly care services that are person-centred, person-led and holistic. Sandra started “Care About You” in the Midlands in 2013 and has grown the service exponentially to provide extensive support services to children and adults with disabilities and elderly people. Sandra has in-depth knowledge in providing person-centred supports to people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.  Sandra works closely with the HSE, clients and their families to develop holistic support agreements. These include home care and support, personal care, community respite, community integration and independent living.

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in “Social Care Practice”, a BTEC Higher National Diploma in “Social Care”, a QQI level 6 in “Train the Trainer”, “Manual and Patient Handling” and a QQI level 5 in “Social Care Practice and Assisting children with special needs”.

Michelle Botha

Care Supervisor – Athlone Office

Michelle joined “Care About You” in 2017. Michelle has 11 years of experiencing working in therapeutic environments, 5 years managing therapeutic residential care centres.  Michelle is extremely experienced and proficient in the development and roll out of therapeutic interventions and support plans. Michelle has developed the TNA based on therapeutic approaches utilised in alternative care settings and has led extensive staff teams in the provision of trauma aware, individual led, person-centred support services. Her role also involves recruitment, staff training and development.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in “Applied Social Studies in Social Care”, a Higher Certificate in “Addiction Studies”, a Cache Diploma in “Childcare and Education”, and a QQI Level 5 in “Childcare”.

Fionnuala Kenny

Care Supervisor – Athlone Office

Fionnuala has 14 years of experience in the delivery of disability day services. Fionnuala joined “Care About You” in 2018 and has been instrumental in leading “Care About You” community integration and SONNA holiday camp. Fionnuala has been heavily involved in the implementation of ‘new directions’ and is passionate about delivering completely person-centred person led services.

Fionnuala holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in “Applied Social Studies (Disability)”, a BTEC Diploma in “Social Care”, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in “Applied Management” and QQI Level 5 component certificates in “Intellectual Disability Studies”, “Person-Centred Focus to Disability”, “Certificate in Equality Studies”, “Applied Social Studies
(Disability)”, “Nutrition”, a level 1 “Sign Language” course and a QQI Level 6 Certificate in “Training and Continuing Education”. 

Orla Coyne

Operations Manager – Athlone Office

Orla has 12 years experience as an operations manager. Orla is responsible for the careful selection and assignment of employees to individual service users, for weekly scheduling of calls, funder invoicing and staff holidays and wages.

Orla holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in “Sociology, Political Science and English” and a certificate in “Accounting”.

Kierelle Yelverton

Care Manager – Cork Office

Kierelle joined the company in 2019. She is a Cork native. Kierelle is the Care Manger for the Community Health Organisation (CHO 4) Cork and Kerry. 

Kierelle holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in “Early Childhood Studies” a graduate of University College Cork.  She holds a Fetac Level 5 qualification in “Care of the Older Person & Care Skills”. She has an extensive supervisory background working in disability and elderly care sectors for the last ten years.     

Tracy Lyness

Care Supervisor – Cork Office

Tracy is a native of county Wicklow having moved to Cork in 2016. Tracy joined the “Care About You” team in September of 2020 as Interim Care Manager of the Cork office and has now taken on the role of Care Supervisor. Tracy has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare. She holds QQI Major Awards in “Healthcare” and “Childcare” and has extensive background in homecare working in both “Elderly Care” and “Disabilities” sectors over her career to date. Tracy works directly with both our service users and staff on a daily basis. Some of Tracy’s duties include managing, developing and overseeing individual support plans, staff training, recruitment, scheduling and staff supervisions.

Leah Lamont

Care Manager – Galway Office

Leah joined the company in 2018. She is a county Meath native. Leah is based in the Galway office and is our Care Manger for the Community Health Organisation (CHO 2) Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. 

Leah holds a Level 8 – Honours Degree in “Social Care”, a QQI Level 6 – Major award in “Health Services Supervisory Management” and QQI Level 6 in “Manual Handling/People Handling Instruction” and “Train the Trainer”. Leah is also designated Safeguarding Officer for CHO2, and provides training to Care Support Workers and families if needed. 

Leah has been working in this sector for many years and has gained the knowledge and understanding from working in community and residential settings.   

Linda O’Sullivan

Care Coordinator- Galway Office

Linda is our Care Coordinator for Galway, Mayo and Roscommon and the latest addition to the Galway office team 2021.  Linda has vast experience and knowledge working in the community sector for the last 14 years. Linda communicates with our service users and staff members on a daily basis. Linda assists with scheduling and the day to day running of the service. Linda also supports with the recruitment of Care Support Workers and organising of training.  Linda has a QQI Level 5 award in “Health Care Support” and is currently working towards her “Supervisory Management” course. 

Majella Garrett

Care Coordinator – Galway Office

Majella is our most recent addition to the Galway office team 2021. A county Mayo native. Majella is our Care Coordinator for Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. She has extensive experience in the caring profession for the last 15 years, specialising in the childcare sector. She has also worked with “Western Care Association”, working in the community with service users with disabilities. Majella’s role involves liaising with our service users and carers every day. Majella facilitates with organising scheduling and all the daily running of the service. Majella also assists with the recruitment of Care Support Workers and the organising of training. Majella has a QQI Level 5 in “Childcare and Office administration” and QQI Level 6 in “Childcare Management” and is presently doing her full QQI Level 5 in “Health Care Support”. Her goal is to continue to further her education in the healthcare sector.
